As I say in the introduction, I have always loved writing. It is one of my passions along with singing and teaching. If you like reading articles, stories or interesting quotes from other people, then you came to the right place!!!
As you will notice though, my texts are written in three different languages: Spanish, French and English because those are the languages I use in my everyday life.
Well, let me introduce myself. I have chosen my name after the heroine of a wonderful BBC series called "Gormenhast". Although it is quite difficult to find it, I highly recommend it to those of you who like fantasy and legends...
Let me start by saying I am a foreign language teacher. I have been teaching English and many other things at an ordinary public High School somewhere in Spain for more than fifteen years. My students are teenagers who are not very interested in my subject although they know fully well how useful it can be in order to find a good job nowadays.
I was born in Paris a long time ago from a French mother and a Spanish father. As a consequence of that, I have a mother tongue and a father tongue, which logically defines me as a bilingual person. I guess I am very lucky because being bilingual is not only about the language, it also gives you an open view on many other things like culture, traditions, sense of humour, geography. By geography I refer to the fact that children like myself normally travel a lot to visit our relatives in both countries so we normally get used to adapting to different contexts quite easily.
I was seven when we moved to Spain and that´s was probably too big a change for such a little girl . A new country, a new flat, a new school, new friends....
